An adjunct music faculty member at Bucknell University and Susquehanna University, leader of several bands, native Pennsylvanian Jay Umble is a full-time musician. His latest Spirit Crossing, is his fourth solo release.

He currently leads his String Theory trio, featuring original fusion, ballads and straight ahead material and is half of the Umble-Druck duo with fellow Pennsylvannia guitarist Bill Druck.

Umble has also devoted time to publishing five books through Mel Bay Publications, Inc. He's participated in Mikes Master Classes online and teaches private study as well as clinics and workshops.
